The passing scores for the Texas real estate licensing exams are as follows:
To obtain a Salesperson license in Texas, you must be at least 18 years old, have a clean criminal history, complete 180 hours of qualifying education courses, pass the state real estate licensing exam, submit fingerprints for a background check, and obtain sponsorship from a licensed Texas real estate broker.
To obtain a Broker license in Texas, you must be at least 18 years old, have a clean criminal history, complete 270 hours of qualifying education courses, have at least four years of active experience in Texas as a licensed real estate sales agent or broker, pass the state real estate broker licensing exam, submit fingerprints for a background check, and obtain sponsorship from a licensed Texas real estate broker.
The passing score for the Salesperson exam in Texas is 70%, and the exam consists of 110 multiple-choice questions. The passing score for the Broker exam in Texas is 75%, and the exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions. Both exams have a four-hour time limit, and a background check and sponsorship from a licensed broker are also required.
