To obtain a Utah Sales Agent License (salesperson), you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, complete a state-approved 120-hour pre-licensing course from a Utah Division of Real Estate approved real estate school, pass the Utah real estate license exam with a score of 70% or higher, pass a criminal background check, and submit a completed application with the required fees.
To obtain a Broker license in Utah, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, have at least three years of experience as a licensed real estate sales agent or broker during the five years immediately preceding your application, complete a state-approved 120-hour pre-licensing course from a Utah Division of Real Estate approved real estate school, pass the Utah real estate broker license exam with a score of 75% or higher, pass a criminal background check, and submit a completed application with the required fees.
