Define Census in Real Estate

Census:

"Census" is a way for the government to count how many people there are in a certain area. They do this by going to every single house and asking the people who live there how many people are in their family. The government uses this information to decide things like how much money to give to different areas and how many representatives each state should have in Congress.

Example:

For example, let's say the government wants to do a census in a small town called Greenfield. They would send people to knock on every door in Greenfield and ask how many people live there. Then they would take all of the information they collected and use it to figure out how many people live in Greenfield.

Oh the Census, oh the Census,
A counting of people, it's quite tremendous!
From house to house they go with care,
Asking for numbers, making sure it's fair.

In Greenfield town they came around,
Knocking on doors, making a sound.
"How many live here?" they would ask,
And write it down, it was quite the task.

With all the data in their hand,
The government could take a stand.
How much money to give, where to send,
To make sure everyone had a friend.

So remember, my friends, the Census is key,
To help the government, you and me!
They count us all, big and small,
So we can have a better life, for all.
