An easement is a legal right that allows someone who doesn't own a piece of land to use it for a specific purpose. The owner of the land still owns the land, but they have to allow the person with the easement to use it in a certain way.
For example, imagine you own a house with a long driveway that goes over your neighbor's property. If you have an easement, your neighbor can't block your driveway or stop you from using it to get to your house. The easement gives you the right to use your neighbor's property for a specific purpose, in this case, accessing your own property.

An easement is a legal thing,
That lets someone use another's land with a zing!
It's not about owning, oh no not at all,
But using the land, without building a wall.
Imagine a driveway that's oh so long,
But it goes over your neighbor's property all along.
With an easement, you can still use it with glee,
Your neighbor can't stop you, no sirree!
So remember, an easement is a special right,
To use someone's land, without a big fight!
It's a legal way to share and play,
And keep peace in the land, day by day.
