Define Misrepresentation in Real Estate
Misrepresentation:
Misrepresentation refers to presenting false or misleading information about a property or a transaction, with the intention of deceiving or misleading others.
Example:
A seller tells a buyer that the roof on their house is only a few years old when it's actually over 20 years old. This misrepresentation could influence the buyer's decision to purchase the property, and it's considered unethical and illegal.

Misrepresentation, oh what a mess,
It's when you say something that's not true, I confess.
You might tell a buyer the roof is new,
When really, it's old and quite worn through.
You must be honest, it's the right thing to do,
Or else you might find yourself in legal poo.
So listen to me, dear friend of mine,
Misrepresentation is a very bad sign!
